KRK RP-10S Rokit Powered Subwoofer

KRK RP-10S Rokit Powered Subwoofer

No serious mix can be completed without a subwoofer. Although you can make a great mix without one you may be shocked to hear your mix on a big system that picks up that real kickin' low end.

That deep low end bass response isn't an issue for the way a lot of people listen to music, in the car, on an iPod, and typical small home stereo but If you really want your mixes to sound good on everybody's system's including 5.1 and large club systems etc you need to have a subwoofer in your studio.

Another thing that can mess with your recordings are sounds that can be picked up by your microphones. These can be mouth sounds and foot sounds on the floor or off the mic stand that are inaudible on your shelf speakers but they live in the very low end and will be heard on a subwoofer.

These unwanted low end noises can be EQ'ed out or even cut out once they are detected making your tracks cleaner.

For around 300 bucks you can add a subwoofer like this one to any set of monitors you're now using although this one was made to for the KRK Rokit Powered Monitors like the RP 5,6 and 8 series.
