POD X3 Live

This should be your first choice if you're doing a combination of studio playing and live gigs.

The POD X3 Live is an upgrade from POD XT Live and is a no-brainer cause you can get it for less than most decent amps cost.

A few reasons it rocks:

  • Volume / Wah pedal built right on to it.
  • Can be used on it's own, so you don't have to cart tons of gear to every gig.
  • Built-in pre-amp which can also be used in the studio for recording vocals.

Also, you can run the POD X3 into two separate guitar rigs which creates a mind-blowing number of sound possibilities considering the number of amp and cab presets already in the POD. (the numbers are crazy and probably way more than most people need)
