Audio Plugins

An Introduction

Plugin:
A plugin is a small computer software program that you can import into your computer recording program like Pro Tools, Logic etc.

These audio recording programs all come with their very own plugins but will allow you to install 3rd part ones as well.

There's many different plugins available and they're usually modeled after an actual hardware rack unit used in recording studios like Reverb, Delay, EQ etc An expensive quality plugin can sound as good as it's hardware counterpart.

Be aware of free plugins. Serious pro's will keep away from them as they're not as stable and can easily crash your system.

People still use rack processors but thanks to technology you can buy more of them in the virtual plugin form and have much more control over your recordings.

As you work with different plugins you'll soon notice some are better than others in how they work, what they actually are capable of doing, how quick or sluggish they are etc.

As people work with the plugins that came with their recording software they will face limitations or frustrations and look to 3rd party plugins for better quality.

This is where Waves Plugins come in!

Waves plugins are considered by many to have some of the very best you can buy and are also recommended because of the great bundle they are available in.
