If you can only get one plugin bundle get this one! JJP stands for Jack Joseph Puig who in the last 20 years or so has worked with and shared Grammy Awards with people like Sheryl Crow, U2, John Mayer, No Doubt to name a few. He's been a producer, mixer, A&R, and Executive Vice President at Interscope-Geffen-A&M Records.
The whole concept behind this set of plugins is modeling some of Jacks studio tools which happen to be some of the rarest and most sought after pieces of gear:
The Fairchild 670, the Pultec EQP-1A, and the Pultec MEQ-5.
The Fairchild 670 is a compressor limiter built in the 50's and are worth about $30,000 if you could even find one! The Pultecs will give you all the EQ you'll need.
Waves has modeled these famous racks of hardware and they are known as the Puigchild 670, Puigchild 660, Puigtec Program EQ, and the Puigtec Midrange EQ.
